Ancient Wisdom + Modern Medical Science + Your Intuition
As a health care provider I am passionate about offering shame-free, evidenced-informed, whole person care that respects, empowers, and invites people to deepen their self-knowledge and tap into their intuition to encourage healing and growth.
Foundational Principles of My Practice
-
Existing on this planet can be hard! I stay curious about what has transpired in your life that has led to your health concerns without shame or blame.
-
There’s no gatekeeping here; gaining access to information in a space that celebrates curiosity and questions can pave the way for reclaiming ownership over your health.
-
My approach to root cause medicine acknowledges that we exist in a much wider context–from family and community dynamics to political and environmental factors–than what goes on in a doctor’s visit. Healing ourselves and healing the world are intertwined.
-
I aim for my practice to be a place for people who are on a similar path of personal healing and growth to find each other. Connecting people and fostering a sense of belonging is a powerful medicine.
-
I believe in promoting the democratization of health information. People having access to the resources they need to thrive is a human right.
Kind words from our community.

I wanted to share with you that I highly recommended you to the UW Headache clinic and shared with them not only the great benefits I’ve had working with you, but your warm, supportive, and empathetic approach. The doctor I visited with was very much interested in having someone she can refer her patients to when patients ask for a more holistic approach. I did share with her that your focus is on mental health, taking into account headaches, amino acid deficiencies, and nutrition.

Michal is one of the most attentive practitioners I have ever worked with. Her deep listening skills, magical touch and gentle approach makes you feel seen, heard and understood in a way that we rarely get to experience when managing our health in the traditional health world. Her wisdom and knowledge blended together truly make you feel like you are in the hands of a skilled therapist.

Working with Dr. Michal was the missing piece to my mental and physical health puzzle this past year. Coming out of the pandemic, even as a mental and physical health practitioner myself, I was out of whack in ways I didn’t know how to handle, and my conventional western doctors were of no help. Dr. Michal was the full package: excellent bedside manner, incredibly supportive, and we figured out new supports to completely transform my energy levels. I couldn’t be more grateful. Wholeheartedly recommend.

Michal (aka Dr.W) is insightful, informative and wonderful at putting the puzzle pieces together to form a clear picture of what we are experiencing (in our health, in our body, in our life) and suggesting a versatility of approaches to reassure us, and to help us evolve with a clear direction, a clear intention.

I am lucky to know Michal on many levels. I have sought her wisdom for spirituality and for personal health concerns. She always listens, makes sure she fully understands what I am asking, and responds with no judgment and with full support. We have had discussions about the healthcare profession (which I am also in) and I know she approaches her patients with great care.

Michal is an incredible provider! I sought craniosacral treatment with Michal after a concussion, and each time I was treated I experienced an immediate improvement in my concussion and pain symptoms. She is compassionate, competent, and extremely skilled at what she does. Could not recommend more!

While it is very exciting that N.D.s are now able to be registered in Pennsylvania, Dr. Michal is still unable to accept any health insurance plan nor provide superbills here.
(She previously accepted health insurance as a primary care provider in Washington State, including Medicaid)
-
Dr. Michal cannot order lab tests in Pennsylvania. She enjoys working collaboratively with your healthcare team and may recommend conventional labs that can be billed to insurance if ordered by your primary care provider. She also has working relationships with Pennsylvania-licensed physicians who can order lab tests at a greatly reduced out-of-pocket cost (which ends up benefiting those with large deductibles). In certain cases, functional medicine lab testing may be indicated, which cannot be billed through insurance, though can be paid in three monthly installments through the lab company.

Some Philly Naturopathic clients in Pennsylvania have successfully used their HSA or FSA (pre-taxed health spending) to pay for visits and recommended supplements. Make sure to check with your plan to verify!
