One thing that emerged for me in ten years of working with patients is that our health needs and resources change each season. I would meet someone for their annual check-up in the fall and learn that they were struggling with allergies in the spring. Or I’d meet with someone in the summer and find out that their mental health had really taken a plunge in the winter.

By taking the time to pause and reflect, we can prepare for the shifts and support we may need right now in this season.

When I moved to the west coast to study naturopathic medicine-- a prevention-focused, whole-systems approach to health-- I imagined bringing what I learned to my beloved hometown.
